last duck hunt
Duck Season ends today. took the Wildfowl out for the first time. It was cold then started to snow later turned to sleet. saw a bunch but could not get them to work my pond. still great fun

Nice picture, and I'm glad you got out for one last hunt. We don't always get the game, but at least we get fresh air. Unfortunately, I suspect your pooch was a little disappointed with the lack of action.

earlier in bow season an old man (another one not me) shot a doe during bow season. he dragged the deer to his stand and went to get his cart to collect the deer. when he got back the deer was gone. I stopped by the hunt shack where you check out of the military base and he told the story to me and the game warden. the game warden and I went in it was after dark and put the dogs down where the deer was and the pup took off and found the deer a couple of hundred yards away where a bear had picked it up and moved it to a deep ditch and was feeding. dogs scared bear and we got the old mans deer back for him.coolvaturkey wrote:Your GSP's can do everything.
