CSMC Fox Guns??
Re: CSMC Fox Guns??
Hi Silvers...real nice little 20 bore! Good job on the grouse....its getting pretty hard to collect them these days. Like the pictures too. I hunt Potter county P.A., don't think I will get anymore hunts this year though...)-: Weather kinda sucks, its been to warm and I gotta work. The tics were real bad up there this oct/nov. hope they all die off! Hay...Jeff S I learned to like skeleton but treatment from the Parker reproduction guns and the Parker DH grades I like so well...Its a real up-tic for sure! (-: You don't see the old Fox guns with skeleton but plates and not that many of the CSMC guns have them. Hope you get to own one in that perfect gauge, barrel length and chokes...(-: SXS Ohio

Thanks Ken, hey just so you know the PA grouse season ends today.
For those interested in skeleton buttplates, here's the one on that New Britain XE in the rainy day pic with the grouse. This one has a fleur de lis that ties in with the F Grade checkering on the gun. Sorry, it's just a cell phone pic.

This is an original Parker Skeleton Buttplate that I found on the net and had polished and then engraved by Robert Strosin and put on my 20 gauge Fox upgrade.

Oooooooo! That's beauty. I was looking at a Parker with a skeleton butt plate, but I thought that it was a smidge heavy and a smidge expensive. Then, it disappeared for a month and reappeared through another dealer for $2,000 more. Now I'm experiencing "non-buyers" remorse and you guys with skeleton butt plates are rubbing it in. That's just cruel.

Naw,,,.... Jeff S....just getting you ready for...miss right when she comes along! What gauge are you wanting?, that plays a big part in the asking price... SXS Ohio

Re: CSMC Fox Guns??
Sorry for the looong delay but I got busy with a new interest.
CSMC Fox DE Special 16 ga, 26",IC/M, Exhibition Circassian, gold banner 'Ainsley H. Fox'.
Checkered butt plate for the lowest weight.
My 16 Bruchet Darne (Custom order) weighs 6# 0.1oz and we targeted 6 #'s or less and was quite surprised when it came in at 5# 9oz.
No birds or small animals or running Fox.
Single trigger because that's what I like.
Spent a few months researching Fox's with McIntosh's book for help.
Barrels's coated internally for steel shot if I ever have to use steel.
I think I need a 29" set of barrels.-Richard
