Other DE-Grade 12-gauges I've saved pictures of in the range 23518, 23590 and 25638 have the regular sear pin. Have any grades other than DE-Grade been observed with the sear axle screw? Has a smallbore been observed with the sear axle screw?

Mike, thanks for sharing pics of your new DE w/us. Congrats! Very nice indeed. Appreciate the tutorial on the on the slotted/threaded pins. I recall the previous discussion about this feature that Bill mentioned. I’d say you had a fantastic weekend finding that one!

Very nice gun. Good shooting with it and enjoy. Sounds like you've waited a while for this one.

The new DE is cleaning up nicely. Some careful work with a little Acetone and some Q-Tips on the checkering (thanks Frank for the tip!), and 100 years of grime came out! :D It knocked the awful sheen off and revealed more of the checkering. Bottom pic is before, and the top is after a little cleaning!

Wow! That’s beautiful checkering. Are you going to work on the forearm too?

Tom,

Do you recall who the maker was of the British 4 bore?

Thanks,
Stan

I do not, but Morphy has it. I am sure if you contact them they can provide all the details. Really super condition imo.

Someone who was at the Vintage Cup took my pic manning the Fox booth and sent it too me last week. For those who don't know my ugly mug by now, here is a pic of me at the booth. PS. This what a number 1 clipper looks like on a bald head. I normally wear an RST hat, but it was too damn hot in the tent.

I've looked better, but I've also looked much worse. Thanks Jeff.
