Steggy, as we txted while in the UP, it sounds and looks like you and family had a great time. So happy your Dad was along and you all got to his favorite eatery. I well remember when you brought "Right as Rain" to the NE SxS and a group of us looked at her, blessed with holy water, and you went back home to MI with a big smile. While not that common, righteous Fox straight grips with short TG tangs are certainly known and yours is an excellent example of what was done at times. I'm sure there's a story there, lost in history.

Frank, thanks for the nice comments. We always look forward to sitting in the boat eating a danish at 5:30 in the morning. There’s something very peaceful about setting up your decoys in in the early morning darkness. The non hunters tell me that it’s not worth driving 5 hours, and getting up early for just one duck. They just don’t understand. I sense a newsletter article coming on.
Shoot vintage firearms, relax, and have fun.

Let me offer a title for your article buddy. Ready...... Drum roll please.....
"One duck-One danish". Please, hold your applause.
ps; We will be sharing a danish soon enough at 0530 over a prairie pothole.
