Thank you for your opinion. I do have some questions/opinions of my own. 1. Why is there only a serial number on the water table and no marking of what grade it is? 2. I have been re-bluing guns for my uncle for the past 5 years (he has done it for 40 years) and I see no reason why someone would strike off the barrel legends to re-blue it. We both conclude that the barrels are original finish. 3. The ill-fitting forend could simply be a natural occurrence due to the gun being over 100 years old. I am not trying to be a smart ass, just offering my own opinions and hope I can get some responses to them. Thank you.
