I saw a post by 1SG Mosteller alerting us to some Foxes posted on a gun website. I searched for them but they were gone by the time I got to it. Buried in a listing for some rifles, an airgun and some handguns was the word Fox. I scrolled down and there it was. I called him and asked the usual questions but he was'nt well versed on shotguns. He was selling these for a friend and would'nt ship any guns. Luckily he was located in Maryland about 1 hour away, so I made an appointment to meet him the next day in a Wallymart parking lot . When he opened the trunk of his car and I saw the gun I knew I was'nt leaving that parking lot without it. I examined it, measured bores, chokes, etc. then made an offer. He came back with a counter offer which was less than I was prepared to pay. Shook his hand and that was it. You just never know. The lucky thing is that he lived fairly close and did'nt want to leave Maryland as he was worried about transporting a gun across state lines. This was the first gun I have "bought " over the net. Turned out pretty good.
I also want to thank Frank for his input on this gun. What a wealth of knowledge and really great people we have in the AHFCA.
