So have the barrels been cut on this gun ? I have seen many many fox's over the years and I have seen then as many times that the barrels are touching and many times they are not and even if the barrels are 26" and correspond to the factory letter I still have seen them like the photo with factory correct chokes.

Any ideas ????

I think the only thing cut-off on that gun was its price tag. :)

As one of those English majors who dreaded Geometry, I do recall the definition of tangent/tangential. IMHO, the "belief" that Fox barrels lacking this feature have been cut, is equal to or greater than the "belief" that all Parker barrels whose rib matting continues uninterrupted to the muzzle end, have also been cut. We have witnessed first hand, many examples of both where factory letters have confirmed "original condition" status. That is why we place such a high value on factory documentation. Sing Alleluia!

FYI. Someone posted that the March Julia's Flyer was available for the next Sale. It has an exquisite 16Ga. CE listed. The pictures are breathtaking. The estimate is 7500 to 12,500.
