I do not really understand the process of obtaining papers of provenance for this gun - dose one have to become a member of the fox collectors ass. to be able to request this??
The A.H. Fox Collectors Association, Inc. only have photocopies of the production cards for the graded double guns, A- to FE-Grade, and the single barrel trap guns. The actual cards for all the Ansley H. Fox guns, including the Sterlingworths, reside at Savage Arms Corp. and since the retirement of the dedicated historian, the letters folks have received from them have been dismal.
thank you for that bit of info regarding the papers for Sterlingworth's, Researcher!

I had a feeling that it was only the graded guns that had original papers available.

the field grade parker pin Sterlingworth I have (SN 61028) has been completely rebuilt and is quite the gun! I am having problems attempting to load photo's onto this site as I would really like you, in particular to have a look at it.

I will keep flubbing away- my kid have recommended that I move to a thing called "imgur" and get away from photobucket as it will no longer do "3rd party hosting" for no charge.

if/when I get photo's up on this thread I will PM, you!

thanks again!

You can post your photos directly here without using a photo hosting site.

I have a couple of the Pin guns, one has ejectors, 28" M/F 2 3/4 chambers PG-DT-SF Did Fox ship them with 2 3/4 chambers, chambers look correct? Gun is in nice condition lever right with original finishes and still has its HRBP...(-: To bad I seldom even shoot a 12 let alone hunt with one! I'm a 16 guy...carries like a 20 but kills like a 12!
