I don't identify so much with USA E-8s and E-9s, because my Vietnam era pay grade was quite a bit lower. However, I just had a reunion with an E-9 who is the son of friends, a kid who I watched grow up in my house and theirs with my kids. He and his family came "home" while he is waiting his next assignment and a retirement in a couple of years. He is over 30 years service, which I find puzzling, because it seems he just signed his enlistment papers a short time ago. Back to identifying with E-8s, some of my friends and I had a nice visit with First Sergeant Mosteller at the Chantilly VA show today. We waved around some nice Foxes, including a nice Utica 20 gauge ejector gun in outstanding condition and a great XE that I almost bought a week ago. We missed getting a full house since Tom T. had left with the Abbey gun and another great Fox custom just a short time before. I had thought about bringing a Fox or two to the show for "show and tell", but I foolishly left them home. The good First Sergeant and I discussed "lightly" his imminent retirement ceremony, which I suggested for Walter Reed. He is plugged into Fort Bragg, which I concurred would be a good decision. I love Fort Bragg, as he does, and couldn't give him much of an argument.

David: I have not been watching the forum lately & missed your post. I'm so happy that you are on the road to recovery. Do you still have your home near Bragg ? I missed you at the last Southern. Are you planning to come to Georgetown in the fall ?
