I would buy it in a heart beat as long as the barrels are good/original uncut and the wood is sound.

I wouldn't turn down the fourth 16 gauge graded Fox, whether it had a trigger or not. Personally, I would like to see the box lock Harkom that is worth four grand, or three.
Thanks for posting your positive experience with these triggers. This one has a pull of about 8 lbs. -- but it works fine otherwise.
Harkom iwas one of the finest gunmakers in the UK. This Harkom is a 5-1/2 lb. 16 bore ejector gun with 27" barrels by Fred Buller of Hellis, Beasley and Watson, London proofed. Fully engraved, with gold plated internals, Leonard action with double underlugs, no third fastener, and a very nice piece of wood. When I showed it to Doug Tate he really liked it... high praise I think, for a "lowly" boxlock. I imported it from the UK some years ago, and it appraises equivalent in value to the Fox C grade extractor gun.

Thanks for the pictures! This gun & mine look like they could be twins other than the trigger. Would you happen to have a picture of the forearm by chance? What's your decision are you going to pull the trigger on this one? The suspense is killing me.

It has a standard snap-on forend. I will probably do the deal.
I just got back from my smith's shop, and we dismantled the gun and checked it over carefully. Barrels are fine, with one spot where a dent was raised (very hard to see, the job was done well). The trigger mechanism is is clean and the sears are untouched. probably why the pull is so heavy. The gun fires without doubling.
The seller likes what I told him about my Harkom, I believe. Could happen... I will see him at the Reno gun show next weekend where I will also be looking at an HE Fox..

Made a deal on the C grade Fox. It's in the safe. Thanks for all the help on ID of the single trigger.
