Roger sorry the weather was bad. Makes it tough for both the hunter and the dogs if it's really nasty.
I have been fighting a bad cold since I hunted Pa over a week ago. Persistent cough that never goes away and makes it impossible to sleep well. You lay down and the coughing really starts. Have antibiotics now, but it's a slow process. It's keeping me inside Sadly as I don't want to end up with pneumonia.

We pretty much have the same thing.
I was up watching TV at 2:00 AM last night, hoping to doze sitting upright.

Great report Roger. I did not hunt our first half of the season due to overly warm, windy weather and reports of nil sightings and encounters up to the close just after Thanksgiving. Second half opens Jan. 13-29 in MD and I am hoping for an "inside-out" second half; a very cold 6-day snap beginning a week or so ago is buffeted by strong winds for the last 3 days. Hopefully some of the flight birds bugging out of Canada and New England will have short-stopped here and maybe we will get a crack at them. Crazy weather patterns, it is in the low 60's here in NOVA today! Kevin

Sorry Roger. I know the feeling of disappointment when you wait all year for the season and then the weather doesn’t cooperate.

I am surviving on Codiene cough syrup and antibiotics and Orange juice.

Roger, Tom,
I hope you both get on the mend. Roger’s comment about having a “year to recuperate” hit me hard as the our grouse season closes tomorrow here in MI. I contemplated making a fast trip North today but other duties will preclude that from happening. We’ll have to settle for guiding this Saturday for the RGS Youth Hunt which is always fun. Brett
