Well played, Frank. I would have made the same decision. And, as far as the eyes ....... me too.

What have you been doing with your eyes?
Goodbye Mandy, once in a life time hunting dog. I miss you every day.

Google “eye muscle exercises for clay target shooting”.

44 Whiskey, thanks for the compliment. My old buddy had a million stories, and I have about half that many. He was born in 1915, played football for Georgetown, was a glider pilot in WW2, hunted canvasbacks on the same piece of Potomac river as Nash Buckingham, and was a good friend of mine.

More information. Thanks to a kind person I’ve learned this M1903 carbine was part of a shipment of 52 carbines and rifles delivered direct to Von Lengerke & Antoine, Chicago (VL&A) on November 22, 1920. Unfortunately there is no record of the date each was sold or the name of the buyer. A 1920-21 catalogue from VL&D (sister firm to VL&A) shows the retail cost of the M1903 carbine at $92.50 or in the same ballpark as a C Grade Fox.

On another note, my order for new unprimed 6.5 MS cases and dies/shellholder was delivered yesterday and I'm good to go. Now I need to dig out my RCBS Rockchucker, scale, measure, etc. I'll also do up some 348 Winchesters while they're on the bench. frank
