One of Nash's guns- "A 20 Gauge 26-inch custom-made about 1933 by Winchester's Bob Owen of England, brought over by the Olins. A set of 30-inch choked barrels had been added. It was made to my specifications and is ivory trimmed." This may have been the gun he shot his last bird with on his last hunt. It was a dove at a long range in 1970.

Nash evidently liked ivory on shotguns. I'm not too crazy about it, myself. But, my tastes have changed over time about some original features on Fox guns, and that may change, too.

This is the original forend from Bo Whoop, with it's ivory inlay, which I photographed, with the rest of the gun, before it was auctioned.

Point of order, Stan. That is not Bo Whoop's original forearm. That is the forearm after Becker restocked the gun. Bo Whoop's original forearm was typical A.H. Fox Gun Co. XE-Grade.

"One mind" told me I shouldn't have put the 'original' word in there. Thanks for catching that, Dave. My "other mind" was thinking about the butt being restocked at Jim Kelly's. I forgot about the older restock on the forend. Glad you didn't!

Best, Stan
