Pinrtails are proof that a duck doesn't have to be colorful to be elegant. Elegant, is how I describe a bull sprig. Everything about him is streamlined, from his long narrow pointed wings to his tail ........ even the shape of his head and bill.

My first bull sprig hangs on the wall.

Stan, I got my first Bull Sprig when I was a kid in Minnesota. I went hunting in western Minnesota with my friend and his dad. Shot it with a M37 Ithaca 20 gauge. All during the hunt I would keep the Pintail in my sight!

My wife an I rode up to Chincoteague NWR couple weeks ago and while sadly there were not a lot of ducks around there were a fair amount of sprig...was a treat to watch them light into the impoundment there with that twist n turn they do.
