Pictures of actions of Becker Foxes or custom Foxes.

Post by vaturkey »

Morning,

If anyone has pictures of any Becker Foxes or Fox upgrades I'd very much appreciate them being sent to my email address tutwilerjr@earthlink.net

I'm kicking off a special project this coming weekend and while I've got lots of idea's, I'm sure other things have been done that are special. My initial thoughts are the action sculpting Dewey Vicknair did on his custom fox when he rounded the wedge area (ala a hidden cheekpiece) and then extending that sculpting into the wood itself, all around till it hits the back of the receiver again. On the bottom of the receiver it will look like sideclips (like Becker no. 2). Then the Becker style rebates and the rear of the receiver shaped like a Lindner Prussian Daly. At least in Theory. I've got to talk to Dan in PGS first to see how radical my thoughts are. He and I have spoken twice already and he seems to like my ideas. We just need to sit down with the metal work in hand and see what looks right. I'm hoping the action shaping will make this gun truly unique, in a special but understates way. What I don't want to do is a 100% Becker clone.

Anyway, appreciate whatever pictures or thoughts might be out there. Thanks much.
