12ga CE with hang tag

Post by fox-admin »

Here is a 12ga CE with the original hang tag. Circa 1924 Gun and Circa 1924 Mason Challenge Drake Mallard. It is hard to believe some of this stuff survives in nice condition.

Craig, That is a nice tag and gun. C grades are my favorite.
Do you have any idea how many 12 gauge C grades were produced?

That is one gorgeous CE, Craig. What length barrels? How did the tag remain with the gun?

Best Regards, George

George, the gun letters to a lady named Minnie Pearl. That may be a clue to the presence of the tag.

Bill: I guess that we all know who she was if she was the same as the Gran Old Opry star.

Bill: I wonder if that's the tag that used to hang off her hat?

Best regards, George

Mrs. Henry Cannon (AKA Minnie Pearl) was born Sarah Colley in 1912. Although probably not a Fox owner at the age of 12 (nor yet having assumed her stage name), she was a wonderful and gracious woman whom we miss here in Tennessee.
