Ready for the BoWhoop Next Weekend

Post by Researcher »

You think Dewey could have this ready for me to shoot at the BoWhoop next weekend?

I was given these remains of Fox Gun Co., Balto., Md., U.S.A. serial number 714 today. Just like my complete gun serial number 153 this one has 3 1/4 inch chambers and the bores are very tight at .710" left and .713" right.

Anyone else with one of the early Ansley wonders, what are your chambers and bore?

Looks to be pretty complete except for the wood and forend. I like those tight bores Dave; never totally bought into all that short shot string hype. Well, Dewey told me he'll be at the NE S X S at Hidden Hollow so anyone wanting to get on his work list better talk with him before then. The right hammer is missing, as is the axel screw the hammers swing on. It does have something my complete gun and my other receiver don't have, an unbroken top lever spring!! Also the little coil spring for the toplever trip is missing, but the right ballpoint pen can fix that!
