Fox Booth at Hausmann’s

Post by Jeff S »

For the Fox Fanatics going to Hausmann’s this year, please stop by the Fox booth and say “Hi” to Kevin, Tom or me. We’ll have some nice guns on display, a few hats for sale and plenty of camaraderie. In addition to the usual “exhibitor’s table” we’ll have an addition table for members that would like to sell guns. Hope to see you there and happy shooting.

Thanks for posting that, Jeff. And a better pair cannot be found to attend to activities at the Fox booth.

Question: the additional table for members to sell their guns will be for Fox guns only? Or, other, non Fox guns? Just curious.

Thanks, and eagerly looking forward to next week.

Agreed on Jeff, Kevin and Tom staffing the Fox booth.

Last I heard Earnest has discouraged the open FS advertising of Fox or other maker guns on their respective organization tables. That’s to non compete with vendors who’ve paid for their tables. With that said, FS and WTB advertising works well by advanced posts here and by subtle tagging and word of mouth while at the event. Hausmann typically has had a PA licensed dealer on site for legal Form 4473 transfers and in particular where the seller and buyer live in different states. frank

Frank, I could be wrong as I am quite often. I thought if a table for member sales was paid for instead of Ernie donating it, Ernie was fine with it as he's making money. He just didn't want to have assocications selling items on donated tables because that's not fair to vendors who are paying. If I'm incorrect someone let me know.

Yes Tom, that's probably correct but best to check with Earnest. Last year the reps of one of the other Associations told me that's why they couldn't do it on their donated tables. frank

Good comments and everyone is correct. I spoke with Ernie Tuesday morning. The AHFCA will be renting an additional table (as we did last year) so that members can sell guns. Ernie was happy last year and he sounded happy again this year. See you all there.

I know we have had ammo, leather shotgun cases and other makers vintage sxs on the table over the years. PS. Also reloading equipment and vintage books on guns or upland bird or waterfowl hunting.

Good question. The thing is, we can’t allow every person that wants to sell a gun to put it on our table. Eventually we would run out of table space. Probably just members, and maybe “a friend’s gun”.
