Fox Factory card restoration example
So I asked Gemini image software Nano-banana to restore a sample factory record card, some of which was illegible to the naked eye. Results look pretty impressive in my opinion, but not perfect.

That’s pretty impressive. It’s interesting that they lost the little “4” in the “Rush”. It’s amazing what modern technology can do.

Nobody knows. Many cards have a small number in the R, but its meaning remains a mystery.

Yea I have no idea were the "7 1/4 lbs grade" came from, "Lightest Made" still requires human intelligence to decipher LOL . It missed everything on the bottom left side.Researcher wrote: ↑Thu Apr 16, 2026 8:33 am Look what it did to the weight! "Lightest Made" became "7 1/4 lbs grade"????

I have noted many numbers written in the RUSH on cards. My Gough-style B-Grade has a 9 and a 5 written in the U.

Re: Fox Factory card restoration example
I have reservations about doing things like this and fooling with history. Next, I can see fellas using sophisticated AI apps well beyond Chat GPT etc to make up spurious cards. Card missing in the files, no problem. Someone can do one up to match your gun and make it seem legit. Alter the listed specs with the same handwriting, easily done. A nice high condition Fox that’s for sale has a recoil pad but the Card doesn’t show that. Wait ….. now it does! A graded Fox originally shipped to XYZ Hardware gets altered to show Nash Buckingham or was sent to Becker for special work? frank

Very interesting how cleaned up/legible the card became with the use of the AI tool along with the changes made to the weight section. Fully understand Frank’s concern but the original records are there for members and warrants getting a card ordered from the AHFCA or ordering a letter from Cody if there is any doubt. Any new technology can be manipulated by crooks/shiesters/thieves as we’ve seen through the age of time!
