Totally agree but as you say, “to each his own”!!Silvers wrote: ↑Tue Feb 17, 2026 7:45 am Superbly done and overall a great Fox. I certainly understand and value "to each his own" but if that were my Fox I'd be shooting and hunting with it as soon as completed. It's not like it's an original high condition historical piece. A safe sitter investment? No, I'd get way more return on T bills or CD's. frank

Very nice gun indeed, Brett! And I totally agree with you and Frank regarding the appreciation value of this one. It should be used and enjoyed rather than tucked away as an investment. Let’s face it, the value in an upgrade is generally only to the original owner. With that said, this gun is a little different in my opinion based on the craftsmen who built it. Jim DeMunck certainly needs no introduction to anyone in the S/S world, but there’s a good chance many do not know Walter Koulach and his value to the gunsmithing world. He is among 3-5 men in the states that built stocks from a blank in the old world method. I’ll guarantee the inside of this stock has no filler or glass and all the mating surfaces are dead nuts perfect. From my observations of many stock makers today, his work is certainly in the minority.
