Well done. Nice photo. Where in KS were you? I've always wanted to be able to find roosters and quail in the same area.

The area we’re in is very hit and miss for both species, especially on WIHA aka walk in areas. Last year I never shot a pheasant. We have access to some limited private ground that keeps us going back, just to stay in touch with the land owners. If I could only hunt the walk in areas I doubt I would go back.
