Hunting in Kansas, Great Weather

Post by Builder »

Three great days of hunting in south central Kansas. Kansas may be warmer than where we usually hunt in South Dakota for pheasant however we hit a warming trend, 78/ 66 and 62 degrees. The birds were plentiful and we hit the four bird limit 2 of the three days. In the picture left to right are Frank, Brett, Lou Rotelli, Milt Fitterman and Tom Damiani. Not in order and not in the picture we shot a 12g. Fox, a Doumelin 12g., an Ithaca, Browning A5 20g. and a 12g. Italian O/U/. Looing forward to next year!!!!

Builder,
Looks like a great trip. I’ve never hunted Kansas, may have to one of these days!

I'm sorry I missed it too. I'd say I know who shot the A5 20ga but I didn't know he had a 20. :)

For those who don’t know, Milt loves his Doumelin, and while we all love SxS’s, Tom is absolutely deadly with any A-5.

We hunted in Greensburg, KS or thereabouts. My Doumelin 12 has been Pheasant hunting with me every year since I got her from Cabelas in Mitchell, SD maybe 14 years ago. She understands pheasants. I do love my Foxes though.
