A few pics over the years
A few pics over the years
I haven't been on this forum for several years now, so I thought I would share some pics. I picked up a beautiful little 20 gauge sterly off of Armslist. Drove over 6 hours to pick it up but I was not disappointed. Since then, it has been my go-to for small game.

Great pictures and you certainly are enjoying your Fox as it was intended. Wonderful to see it “in the field”. Have you considered writing an article for the newsletter sometime?

Nice, I bought my first 20ga SW off Armslist. First and last time I was on that site. Tell us more about your 20 SW.

Mr. Jeff, I haven't considered writing an article for the newsletter. I haven't received a newsletter yet, but I would be interested in that.
Daryl, my sterly is a '29 model if I remember correctly when I tried to date it by the serial number. It is a 26" brush model, choked mod and full. I don't know the stock measurements, but it fits me perfectly so I never checked. It is in excellent shape, except for when I got it, the grip cap was missing which I had replaced. I love taking it hunting with buddies who usually know nothing of vintage doubles. They are always amazed at how petite and well balanced it is. My only complaint is it is a little "whippy" to me if I have to take a long shot on crossing doves for example. But boy does it shine on the quick shots.

Thanks for the reply Caleb. I 'm glad you enjoy your Sterly, I've been sold on the 20ga for years now. If you ever have the chance to buy a 28" or 30" 20, I promise you it will be money well spent.
