Question concerning inherited gun

Post by dondunaway »

I hate to show my ignorance, but hope some of you can assist me. I recently inherited a Fox 12 gauge shotgun and can find no information about it. It is double barrell and the only marking on it is on the left side which says "The Fox Gun Co, Balto MD USA "The serial number stamped on each section is 932. Any idea what I have here??? Thanks Don

Check the article on our web site --

That 932 would be a higher serial number for one of these then I have previously recorded. The nine Fox Gun Co., Balto., MD., U.S.A. guns I've previously recorded have serial numbers from 153 to 617. I've recorded 866 and 875 but they are just receivers.

I also covered this company in our current Spring 2009 Newsletter. We'd love to see some pictures of your gun.
