Grouse hunt turned into a Teal hunt.
I was out for a stroll through the Grouse woods close to home today with my Maggie. It was a beautiful afternoon for a walk and we did manage to flush four Grouse , non of which I was able to get a shot at. However all was not lost! There is a small slough at one end of the woods we were hunting and I flushed a small flock of Green Wings from it and managed to pull off a double with my double! I think I need to get a twenty bore because it would be much lighter to carry than my twelve bore Sterlingworth with 30" tubes on it.

Nice picture of a good dog. Congratulations! Those teal can fly pretty fast.

I agree - great picture of your dog with that teal.
Your Model 1911 Pin Gun looks pretty good too.

Thank you guys. I'm really enjoying that old Fox. For a 113 year old gun it still locks up tight and fits me very well too. The bismuth ammo is pricey and hard to find though so I can't take it out every time but only on special days.

Yep, your 12 did just fine but once you get your hands on that 20 you won't look back.
Owning a Fox is not a spectator sport.

I have no doubt. The trouble will be finding one that I can afford!
