Drain hole plugged with solder

Drain hole plugged with solder

In the Sept 10 Morphy catalog lot #1486 is a model 21 DUCK with two barrels.
In the description of each barrel is says " Drain hole plugged with solder".
That's a new one on me.
Forearm? Barrel lumps?

Can anyone explain this?

I think they be referring to a hole that may be found on/in the bottom barrel rib likely just forward of the barrel flats and before the barrel lug.

That would be my explanation.

Righteous Model 21's typically have the so-called "drain hole" plugged with a steel pin that's left in the white. What looks like solder in the auction pic might be that steel plug pin? frank
