Brad Bacheldor DU Memorial Shoot

Yesterday and today the Brad Bacheldor Double Nasty shoot was held in Ada, MI. This is a fun but competitive shoot. The format is a line of 75 targets consisting of 25 TRAP, 25 Skeet, and 25 “Double Nasty” Skeet. There is also a 10 station 50 bird Clays Course with some unique/challenging shots.

The majority of guns shooting are SxS’s with multipliers given for the smaller calibers and for the age of the gun. At this evenings dinner the 2023 winners were announced and recognized. Fox Board Member Jeff Stegmier was recognized for High Overall Score and High 16/20 score for 2023. Dean Hemp (known as Mr. 410 here in the Great Lakes area) was also recognized for high over all score in the .410 and 28 gauge section.

Today Jeff and Dean shot as well. Steggy was shooting his new 12 ga. XE that he picked up yesterday morning as well as his 12 ga. CE, his Sterlingworth 20 gauge as well as his late Father’s .410 and a Parker 16. All in all a great shoot and a good group of shooters and great guns!! In addition Vintage Firearms has a great display and so does Bacheldor’s. Very fun!!

Here’s a pic of Jeff and I. We just finished a round of trap. Jeff was shooting his CE 12 gauge and I was shooting my Fox Special Trap grade w/Vent Rib. Perfect weather for a shoot today.

Nice post, and yes it was a beautiful day. Special thanks go out to Brett for letting me break clays with his gorgeous trap gun, and the world’s only vent ribbed Super Fox. Very cool, and very unique guns.
