Got a note from the trainer today that little Annie is in heat. Better there then here. She said she is keeping her away from a herd of admiring male setters with ill intensions on their minds.

She seems to have a lot more male friends suddenly. Reminds me of sailors going to a Hooters after being deployed for 6 months.
Reminds me, an ex Navy sailor, of going to Hooters after being deployed for 1 (one) day. Those girls sure wore nice outfits.

I was in Yokosuka Japan home base of the 7th fleet for 3 years. Carrier Midway was home ported there along with the rest of the fleet. After they were out to sea for months and months, they arrived at home port with money in their pockets. One of the Chief Petty Officers would always tell me "No money, no honey". Still sticks with me 35 years later.
Some folks are wondering how Sophie is doing. Bottom line is she at age of 9.5 years is slowing down (like me), but is doing well. A bit of Osteoarthritis in both rear legs and as such she is limited to about an hour on the ground at a time. She is still a very good dog and is solid. Pic taken on the morning walk today on a solid Rabbit point in the neighborhood.
