Re: Progress on a Grouse/Woodcock Gun 20 gauge
Quick update. Stocker sent me this pic yesterday. Will be on the duplicator next week. The pattern stock is off an original Fox 20 gauge tweaked to my requirements. I asked him to take a pic when its actually being duplicated and send it my way. Going to be a nice looking little brown bird gun.

update. Had a small problem with the duplicator that took a few days. Got turned on Monday and had some shaping/inletting started.

Not the best pic, but the stockmaker said this is a stunning piece of Turkish. Once turned and shaped the sweet spot that I hoped was there was indeed there. He said the other side was as nice as this side. Every once in a while you get lucky. I had one done a few years ago that turned into a plain jane once turned. This one did just the opposite.

Re: Progress on a Grouse/Woodcock Gun 20 gauge
Just an update. Gun was passed to Matthew Begley at the Southern. He will be sending it out for case color hardening and he will also rust blue the barrels and triggerguard/safety etc etc. Put the gun on the digital scale right before I turned over to Matthew and it weighs 5 lbs 12 oz. It will be a wand. PS. He is also going to have the barrels roll stamped by Jon Hosford with what B grade would have had before he rust blues the barrels. He said with zero doubt it will be back in my hands before hunting season. It is a really impressive looking and nice handling gun.
