Very basic gun made in a group of guns with same specs., 28" bbls, wt. very weak, but all guns with same specs. weighed about 7 lbs, shipped to Iver Johnson, which bought a lot of guns from Fox. (full pistol grip)
I have several in the 32,000 range and they shipped in 28' and 29', but from what 's been discussed, I don't think that gun has anything to do with these, or the #32800 that I gave infro on. (That and 50 cents will buy you a pack of gum)
I'm with Silvers and Cargie as well, lunch box or pure aftermarket, If you look at the S/N stamps all are spaced much wider than typically found. And if you look at the picture of the bbl flats above the S/N stamp of the two zeros, that's where the S/N should be stamped and instead you can see what looks like a depression and grinding marks. I think an unfinished receiver and FE iron where mated to a reserialized bbl set.
