It was nice seeing folks from the Hausmanns who remembered me.
Shout out to Jeff S for letting me use his cart for the final 150 rounds. Much appreciated.
Don and Steve for remembering and again for Don letting me shoot his SBT at Hausmanns. And Tom, as well.
Special shout to Frank who was the first here on the site to give me tips. As I've got to know Frank, I am in awe of his extensive knowledge on all gun matters and willingness to share. Frank knows his shit. I owe him several steak dinners and many hamburger lunches but he keeps refusing.
As I said before, I was afraid this SxS thing was some sort of elitist society that if you didn't have a $50k gun you weren't welcome. That's the farthest from the truth with the Fox members I have met. All are great and are promoting Fox and SxS like it should. We were once all newbies with no knowledge and wanting to learn and need folks like on this site to pay it forward.

Ron, glad that you had a good time and I enjoyed shooting with you. Next stop, the Vintagers in September.

Re: Northeast SxS
It was so nice seeing, talking and shooting with some of our member friends while at the Northern SxS. Many of us have developed dual or even triple vintage gun maker interests ….. Fox along with Ithaca, Parker, Lefever and other makers and that's great to see when we see them at SxS events and not just via posts from a device keyboard. Sad to see that Fox shooter participation continues to be low as compared with the AHFCA's earlier days; imo it started to tail off about 6-7 years ago. Reminds me of the half-life of a radioactive isotope. It was hard to find a Fox out on the courses. Me, I’ve been looking for a change at the event and was mainly shooting a new to me Parker VHE 12/32” along with Winchester Model 12's in 12 and 20-gauge and my Emmons Fox J-Grade SBT gun.
Thanks Ron for the tip of the hat but it wasn't necessary. Readers: Ron is a long-time accomplished Skeet shooter and he's appreciative of gun evaluations, tips and suggestions and always offers up more than just a token "Thanks" as many are want to do. Jeff Steggy and a few others have the same values. Dinners, lunches, cigars etc aren't necessary or wanted. I was happy to introduce Ron to the world of vintage guns and sporting clays, and have learned he's a shooter who hits the courses often and with enthusiasm. Just an aside, last month at Hausmann's he did a legal buy of a Model 12 in 20-gauge from me, and last week Ron fielded that Winny and won the Vintage Small Bore pump gun event at the Northern SxS. Congrats Ron! Watching him quick shuck that M12 you’d think he’s been shooting them for years. Icing on the cake was my txt to him yesterday “that's the last gun you get from me”. Hahaha. Few things worse than getting beaten by a guy with a gun you sold to him.

Re: Northeast SxS
It was Frank's spirit in the M12.
There are some guns that just point and shoot themselves, that M12 is one. Others fight you and nothing looks right.
It all started just wanting 1 SxS. That lasted about 4mo before adding another. Then another. Then.....
I do plan on being at the vintagers shoot barring anything stupid at work. Which is always a possibility due to corporate meddling in plant matters they know nothing about.
