The last two years I’ve stayed at the Candlewood in Vestal and it’s quite nice all be it a bit pricey . But the main reason for staying there was the Parker annual meeting being approx ten miles away . This year no annual meeting so I got an invite from the Ithaca group at their Air BnB . Last two years when going to Mikes I’ve stayed at the golf club hotel in Tunkannock this year a group of the Parker faithful got an Air BnB .

Lew,

6pt-sika's link to Hausmann's should get you started.

If you need more info or have questions, let us know.

If you like side by side doubles and are located within reasonable driving distance, it's one great event.

Silvers wrote: Sun Feb 26, 2023 7:50 am As Stan indicated, the new gun regs in NYS are complex and if you don't have a NY hunting license in open season to explain having guns with you that's another factor to consider. Tunkhannock PA is always an option. I live a little beyond Tunk and Hausmann's HH is about a 45 min ride from downtown with the Hampton and Comfort, and the Skyline is closer to HH - perhaps 40 mins and both via Meshoppen and PA Route 267. There are plenty of eating places in and near Tunk and if we can get a group of Foxers I can arrange dinner and group therapy at a really good/reasonably priced Restaurant where we eat quite often. That in comparison to the heavy Parker presence in Vestal NY, at least in the past.

Some shooters stay at a very few places in Montrose PA (Susquehanna County seat) which is about equidistant as compared with the Vestal hotels but generally the Montrose places are booked up well in advance. frank
Sadly, the eating place I referred to in my earlier post (bold print) burned to the ground on Saturday. Reportedly a kitchen fire quickly spread, and given its rural location it took a while for the fire companies to respond. Plenty of people now out of work and headaches for the long-time family owners. Fox group therapy cancelled at least for now. frank

What's the name of that restaurant Frank?
Owning a Fox is not a spectator sport.

I’d never been in that place and I was a member of The Factoryville Sportsmans Association for a year or so .

Craig, Gin's is on the opposite side of Route 6 from the FSC, nearby the Blue Bird on the road to Lake Sheriden.

Sad to see the fire. I’ve never been there, but fires are devastating for small, family owned businesses.
