Age Question

I'm trying to find the approximate age of an Ansley H Fox A-Grade 12 gauge double-barrel shotgun with serial number 23973. Thank you in advance for any help.

Probably in the 1916-17 time frame, but the only way to know for sure would be to get a letter from Cody. A few years ago Savage sent all the surviving Fox production cards to the McCracken Research Library at the Buffalo Bill Center of the West.
