Driving me mad cant seem to find an explanation of what a thrubolt gun is.
I have a Savage Fox Sterlingworth 12ga. serial number 132656.
This is my first post, i did search the board for an answer but did not find one.
Thank you!
Fred

If you search for “drawbolt” as a User you’ll find 113 matches, and AHFCA Members will find 142 matches. Much info here on the site.

Re: What is a Thrubolt gun?
I haven't recorded any "Drawbolt" guns in the 132xxx range. The guns I've recorded from 132649 to 132927 are all Fox-Sterlingworths built on the flat-sided SP-Grade frames --
The "Drawbolt" guns have a wide top-tang with a slotted screwhead at the back. They are mostly in the 133xxx range 30-inch --
the 143xxx serial number block, mostly 28-inch barrels --
and the 161xxx range with 26-inch barrels --
