Hello there Maggiemollie,

We enjoy staying in Tunkhannock PA when we shoot at Hausmans or Rock Mtn in July.

From Hausmans, Vestol NY is closer, but with all of NY's new gun regs, it is just easier on the mind to stay in Tunkhannock which is in PA . We have stayed at the Skyline Motel just west of town, the Hampton Inn and also the Comfort Inn & Suites.

Hope this is helpful,
Stan

Maggie,

A bunch of us (Fox and Parker shooters) also stay at The Quality Inn in Vestal, NY.
Ph# 1-607-821-3806 option #2
Ask for Kathy....she's wonderful. Tell her you'd like the group rate with The Parker Gun Collectors ($103/night). Easy ride down to Hausmann's and plenty of eating places close by. See you in June but I must warn you, the Hausmann's shoot is like taking a hit of 97% pure, crystal blue Meth. You'll need 11 months in Fox De-Tox, and then it'll be time for a return visit!!! Just sayin'........
On the whole....I'd rather be in Philadelphia....

I know this is in June but I can't find the dates anywhere. I think it is a Th-Su event. What days are best? I am just planning on meeting folks (I owe Silvers meals for at least 2 days for the help he has given to me) and shooting a few events (hopefully not poorly).

As Stan indicated, the new gun regs in NYS are complex and if you don't have a NY hunting license in open season to explain having guns with you that's another factor to consider. Tunkhannock PA is always an option. I live a little beyond Tunk and Hausmann's HH is about a 45 min ride from downtown with the Hampton and Comfort, and the Skyline is closer to HH - perhaps 40 mins and both via Meshoppen and PA Route 267. There are plenty of eating places in and near Tunk and if we can get a group of Foxers I can arrange dinner and group therapy at a really good/reasonably priced Restaurant where we eat quite often. That in comparison to the heavy Parker presence in Vestal NY, at least in the past.

Some shooters stay at a very few places in Montrose PA (Susquehanna County seat) which is about equidistant as compared with the Vestal hotels but generally the Montrose places are booked up well in advance. frank

Make sure you stop by the Bo Whoop set up and introduce yourself. You can't miss it as it is right off the parking field as you are heading towards the clubhouse and tents. Bring your favorite Fox and have a go at the Bo or Baby whoop targets. I promise you, you will spend some quality time there. Enter to win BIG cash and merchandise. Stay tuned for more shotgun games planned for that weekend.
Owning a Fox is not a spectator sport.

Will be staying at Skyline Inn Tunk. Comfort Inn sold out and Hampton was stupidly priced.

Looking forward to going and meeting others. Never been to a shoot like this.
