Another A grade restoration MORE PICS

Post by Silvers »

Last fall I found a 2nd gen A grade 12 gauge that needed some TLC. She had languished on a rack for several months with no takers; stock was cut way too short for most anyone at 13â€

Very nice, Silvers. Another great project. Are the feathers in the last photo from your first shot?

Thanks guys for your comments. While I appreciate collector grade Foxes and own a few of them, I really like to bring back good ones that just need a little help. Frank

For no special effort on the stock, I think you did very well Frank. Gives me some inspiration to try it on one of those short stocks that I've passed up in the past.

A couple of gents have asked for more pics of the stock, wood finish and the barrel extension to show how its slot looks after the TIG weld work. Frank

Silvers I recall that gun sitting for quite some time and thinking to myself "Why isn't Silvers all over that ole 32" gun? I thought that sure would be a good canidate for a restock. I see you were "all over it". The extension came out excellent and the checkerer kept the same flat top checkering that is proper to a factory A grade. I cant wait to see her in person at the NE SXS. I bet she will crush those Bo Whoop targets. I think Fox-admin says it best, We are going to have to start calling you the Fox Doc !!!! Paul
