TOPLESS COEDS, FREE BEER AND PIZZA
Ok now that I have your attention let me introduce a brand new event to premier at the Northern SxS Challenge to be held at the beautiful Rock Mountain sporting clays and Dry goods emporium in NEPA on July 28-31st, 2022.
Let's hear it for the 1st annual A.H. Fox Smallbore Grouse Challenge. (applause sign lights up)
Here's the scoop;
It will be a 27 bird event shot on the smallbore course over 9 stations with 3 birds per station. It will be shot low gun and the presentations will be a single from trap A, then a simo pair from traps B/C. There will be NO SHOW BIRDS. One shot per bird with a delay up to 3 seconds after the call. The cost is $25. There will be a trophy for HOA and any ties will be decided by long run from the front. To qualify for this coveted trophy you must shoot an A.H. Fox 20 or 16ga gun manufactured in either Philly, Utica or any CSMC smallbore.
Good luck and I hope to see you there. I will have 16 and 20ga guns for those that would like to participate but don't own a smallbore. I only ask that you return the gun.

You have to show up to see it. They are all over 18 but under 40. Can you spell Cougar?

Daryl, what a great event. Thanks for working with Mike at the Rock on this. Love to see some of the custom Fox smallbores that are posted here from time to time (hint to Messrs X, Y and Z). Tell you what, if someone commits to bring and shoot a high end Fox Custom that's been posted here, I'll work to get a fox to pose with the owner and the gun.
One possible tangent, now Daryl will have Parkaah, Smith, Ittaker, Winny and Lefever smallbores wanting to get in on the event, sans the trophy. frank

Thanks Frank. Of course the other makers are welcome to shoot the event but can't vie for the coveted bling. Next year, if this is successful, we may just have it open to all makers smallbores with some sort of bling for their effort. After all, this is supposed to be fun, and after someone shoots a smallbore Fox I think we may have them hooked. My job is to promote, and bring out of the closet, those Fox guns that we only hear of.

As for co-eds, Daryl didn't tell you they are our range staff of HS and college boys and the beer is 50 year old Horlacher Beer from the defunct Horlacher Brewing Company in Allentown, PA.
The Grouse Challenge will be a hoot. Fun targets. With the one bird-one shot there will leave no margin for error, just like chasing those ruffs in the big woods.

To these guys any free beer is fine no matter it's age or bouquet. As far as the Topless thing goes, it is 2022 and you can identify any way you want.

No fair Tom, if you show up you will hog all the cougars for yourself. Give us young bucks a chance.

Re: TOPLESS COEDS, FREE BEER AND PIZZA
I shouldn't have to post this here but here goes:
This just in!
An open class trophy has been added to this years challenge for all those who choose to shoot a vintage gun other than a Fox. Remember, there will be no show birds, 3 shots per station, no show birds and a delay up to 3 seconds after the call. Gun cannot be mounted until the bird is in view.
This is going to be HUUUUGE!
