Quail hunt with 20 G Sterlingworth.

Annual quail hunt at the Webb Farm in Ellerbe NC with my good friend Guy. He was shooting his Beretta I was shooting a 20 g Sterlingworth.

looks like a successful hunt, thanks for posting.what is your SW choked,barrels :wink:

I always take two Fox guns to the Webb Farm. One is a 16 g AE and the other is a 20 g Sterlingworth. Both guns are choked IC and F.

That's a lotta choke for quail guns, Bill. Do you use spreader loads?

I used to use spreader loads in the left barrel but don't anymore. I have come to like that choke combination. Find that now that I am older I shoot more doubles with a tight second barrel. Don't rush the second shot.

That choke combination is perfect for wild quail as they are smoking fast and your second shot can be distant. Pen raised birds you would need to be patient on your second shot.
