Hausmann’s Update
Re: Hausmann’s Update
Thanks Jeff for posting the pictures. It was great to get back to Ernie's and see friends that i haven't seen in a while. I was also met some great folks that i hope will consider me as a friend going forward. The shooting on the Boo Wop/Letterman was definitely challenging, but I have to give a big shout out to Bill for giving me the opportunity to break a clay with his 20 ga HE, that was a real treat. Also, Thanks to Daryl and Mike for running the Boo Wop and Letterman events. Those guys manned that event the whole weekend and did a great job. After the first afternoon the weather was great, and everyone looked to be having a good time. After the crappy year we had last year i think everyone is just happy to get out with friends and shoot get get back to some kind of normality in life. Also, thanks to a tip from Frank I was able to get a very nice J Grade, some thing that i have been looking for for several years but always seemed to elude me. I also snagged an outstanding Grade 4 Nick (also thanks to Frank) that will be a great compliment to the Fox J. To make the whole thing even better, the Parker folks put on a great barbeque in the back parking lot Friday evening. The food was outstanding and the company even better. Overall, this was probably the best weekend I have had in awhile.

Great comments. Yes, Daryl and Smitty did an outstanding job. And to add to Kimber’s post, it’s really neat that members are willing to share their guns. Bill generously allowed several of us to shoot his 20 HE. And, thanks to Kevin M., I broke a clay at the Letterman station using a J, that actually has WC Letterman’s stock on it. How cool is that! Thanks Kevin.

You won’t find a better guy that Bill Jolliff!!!! He’s a true gentleman!!!! He is great about letting
you shoot his guns. He’s allowed me to shoot guns I will never own let alone seen one before!!!!! Also such a wealthy of knowledge about doubles!!!! I’m fortunate to be able to shoot with Bill on a regular basis since he’s local to me.
Plus a big thanks to Bill for helping find the nice A grade I bought at Haussmann’s. I’m happy with my purchase.

Re: Hausmann’s Update
Thanks for your thanks you guys. Sincerely appreciated and too bad we can't do this more often.
And Jeff, thanks for supplying those 2 1/2 inch 20 gauge RST shells the guys used to shoot in the HE20. And Daryl and Mike Smith for letting us shoot some "test shots" at your Bo Whoop/Letterman targets.
Eric/Woody, I'm sure you will enjoy the Fox A12 you picked up and knowing you. you will shoot it well.
It sure was a great 3 days.

Re: Hausmann’s Update
One more pic uncovered of Frank shooting a unique HE that was showed up many years ago at Ernies. It was in pretty rough shape and I was unaware that Frank had bought it and restored it to shooting condition. Not often you see a Super with inlaid critters. Here is one pic taken of Frank shooting the HE at the "Mini Bo-Whoop" field. Notice the inlaid duck in the stock. Neat gun and a very neat story as well.

More great pics and narratives. Thanks all.
Frank, I hope to hear more about the Topperwein Super. Is it one and the same gun that is in the pic Tom posted above? Maybe an article at sometime in the future?
