I will Jim. I saw him do a 125 yard track a wounded pheasant through a plumb thicket and he retrieved to hand. Not bad for 6.5 months old.

Yep plenty of desire in the field with this one. But in the house he has the best off switch for a pup I’ve ever seen. Has not gotten into any sort of mischief in the house, yet :)

Hope your right. I said that about my first Golden. Got home one evening to find two library books eaten, one table leg and a pair of glasses. That was a long time ago. Was a great dog.

Our first DD loved to chew on wood furniture. This one can’t pass up a stick in the backyard if he’s by himself. So only a matter of time.

Wish I could have got the video to post.
My friends setter pointed a covey at 435 yards from us, brought Cody in to see what he would do. He’s been a natural backer from the first time he had an opportunity, he is 7.5 months old here. Should be fun training this one. :D
