Just added to the inventory 26 inch Sterly Philly 20.

Needs a small Antiflinch pad (which I have) and a small crack repaired on the right cheek. Full/Mod chokes, 5 lb 10 oz. Wasn't shot much at all. Shenandoah Valley gun of all things.

Tom, about what year was your new gun made?

Jim, believe it was made in 1929. Has twin Ivories as well. Nice little gun. I need it like 3rd eye, but couldn't pass because of the condition.

Very nice Tom. A nice classic addition to your collection of custom Foxes. Well it looks like you won't have obligations under the tent at the Northeast and the VC this year. Maybe you'll shoot the courses along with Fox guys and gals, and try out for the Fox Upland Gun Championship? Love to see your guns in action.

That sounds like an invitation to our "Second Annual Fox Upland Challenge" to be held at the 2020 Vintage Gunner's Cup!! Lots of exciting news to follow on the Fox shooting front!! This year's theme will be: PARTICIPATION and our new Shooting Events coordinator Daryl Corona (thankfully, no connection to Wuhan, PRC!!) is already beating the drum! Stay tuned for more news at 11.
On the whole....I'd rather be in Philadelphia....

I shot the 5 stand at last years NE SXS with Dan Rossiter and Kevin a few times when I was able to get out of the booth. Plan on attending this year unless I have to have surgery on the right shoulder for a Labrum tear. Doing PT on it now hoping to avoid surgery (knock on wood). PS. Getting old sucks. :)

I'm sorry to hear that Tom and hope the PT works out. Speaking about how getting old sucks, the 5-stand menu for last year's Fox Upland Gun Championship at the VGC was all true/simo pairs. I've never been too keen on 5-stand shooting, and even more so now as I've gotten older and trying to remember which clay to shoot first on each and every simo presentation. Hopefully Daryl is monitoring this thread and he'll do this year's FUGC menu with mostly report pairs and maybe even a few Rafaels off one trap.

Agree Frank. Those finals at the Vintage Cup were problematic even from the watchers point of view. Just too much to remember in too short of a time period. I think it was awfully difficult for the shooters to adjust on the fly as they say.

Yes Fox Nation stay tuned. The 2nd annual Fox smallbore challenge will be bigger and better this with added opportunities for every skill level. Start thinking about using those smallbores for more than potting a few grouse and woodcock. Please feel free to chime in with your thoughts on how the event went last year. We need Fox shooters.
