32" Sterlingworth and double beads.

Post by bamboozler »

Does anyone know if a c.1922 12-ga. Sterlingworth Ejector with 32" barrels would have come standard with or was available optionally with a mid-bead?

Is it an ivory or metal mid bead on the SW? They were definitely available with factory twin ivories.

I don't know about twin metal beads, never saw that factory setup on a SW. Likewise a metal front bead with an ivory mid, or an ivory front and a metal mid. I suppose any combo is possible but if you value originality I'd suggest you get documentation that's the way the SW Ejector was made. Otherwise it will be suspect to a collector. Silvers

Thank you for the reply Silvers. The gun has twin ivory beads.

I understand that the Deluxe Sterlingworth had twin ivories and a recoil pad as a standard--not sure if ejectors were included also with this upgrade. I'm also not sure when the Deluxe version was introduced, which leads to the question...how does one differentiate a Deluxe Sterlingworth from an optioned Sterlingworth?
