What labs do off season!

Post by fox-admin »

Winter has finally arrived in western NY. The dogs handle the winter down time better than most humans.
Nellie is off to South Carolina for gun dog school for a couple of months. Lucy will accompany us to Florida, she loves lying on the beach watching the shore birds and chasing land crabs.
9 long months until next duck season. Shooting clays with my friends on Sunday mornings until we go south. Looking forward to Florida and shooting in shorts at the Sarasota Gun Club.

Beautiful picture Craig. Just out of curiosity, do you bring nice vintage guns to Florida? I suspect that someday I'll be wintering there (if I want to remain married) and I worry about the salt air. Jeff

That looks like my crew here only they don't have any white on their muzzles but they sure look comfy.

Have a safe trip to sunny FL, hope you don't get sunburned or et up by mosquitoes in your bermuda shorts. :D

WOW....Nellie grew up!! What are you feeding her? Canvasbacks with a Blue Buffalo chaser??? Anne doesn't spoil them too much, right? If only they could order pizza and crack open an ice-cold Corona....that would make one hell of a Super Bowl Sunday pic!!
On the whole....I'd rather be in Philadelphia....

Love that picture Craig!!! So much for the old "conventional wisdom" that great hunting dogs cant be great house dogs cuz I know that your dogs can hunt! Gun dog school huh?
Magnum turned 13 yesterday & Splasher will be 4 at the end of this month. Splash is really wishing to get out & romp more, Mag is quite content to eat, sleep & be the boss.
