I've heard a couple of different versions of a Lunchbox gun. One being that a factory employee built a gun on the side during his lunch hour out of various spare parts and literally carried the various parts out of the factory in his lunch box (not sure how the barrels would fit into a lunch box, but who knows). That gun might not even have a serial number.

The other version I've heard is the employee was allowed to build the gun during his lunch hour with the approval of management and was able to carry the finished product out of the factory. No idea which version is correct, and perhaps there are other versions.

Remember the Johnny Cash classic, "I got it one piece at a time"? He was working in the Cadillac assembly plant and every day he carried a part out the door in his lunch box. After 20 years, he had a complete Cadillac. Certainly if Johnny Cash could build a Cadillac, a Fox employee could build a shotgun. Jeff
