UPDATED Fox 20 Ga Sterlingworth upgrade project.

Post by Brian »

Fox 20 Ga Sterlingworth upgrade project.
It started life as a 20 Ga. Sterlingworth with 28” barrels. Dan Rossiter did all of the metal work, fences, reshaping, etc. the and stock work. I debated straight grip or semi pistol. I went with semi pistol grip.
The wood came from Cecil Fredi.
Horn butt-plate.
stocking is done, waiting for the checkering and final work to be done by Dan.
Barrels are MOD & Full, I am going ng to open right barrel to IC.

I will post more pics one I get the gun.
Here are a few pics of the engraving on my Fox Upgrade. Geoffroy Gournet did the engraving.

Brian, Dan, and Geoffroy, that is one great looking gun. What finish will be on the receiver? Bill Murphy

Those gold wedding bands on the breeches are a very nice touch. I think it just adds much class to the barrels/action. Beautiful.

I met Geoffroy recently and was very impressed with him, in person. He engraved a damascus blade boot knife for me, and I am thrilled with the work.

Thanks for posting that, Brian. SRH

That is fantastic, Brian. I particularly like the Ruffed Grouse. Is that a portrait of your dog?

Picked my gun up from Dan Rossiter last week. what a job he did. It came out beautiful. I will post photos once I have a chance and decent weather to get some outdoor shots with natural light.

Restock has been started on the AE 16 gauge. Asked Dan to send me a picture of the blank post turning so I could get a look at it. After Dallas he will hopefully start the XE 20 gauge upgrade.
