Last 3 days & ITX 10

Post by Mother ducker »

Duck'n our last 3 days of season,Slooooow. Shot ITX 10 1oz #6's for past 5 days out, killed full range of waterfowl sizes from greenwing/buffleheads to Canada geese. The #6's lose steam at 40 yards, moving on to #4's. The ITX's seem to open up pattern quicker than steel but all pellets I think retain more energy as I have found no pellets stuck just under the skin like with steel. Anyway here's a few pics

Thanks for the great pictures, man talk about a blue birds day. Lots of phragmites where you hunt---bad stuff.

Thanks for the pics, Ducker. Where were you hunting? Blacks and Greenwings, no better strap of ducks. I am in shock that the duck season is suddenly over.

Your all welcome! I love your duck'n pictures too. Jim, same mid Bay Area of Chesapeake. Wasted 2 days on those cans, never came together, but we did have a fair bycatch. Last day went way back in for the teal & blacks. Tides low and pushed our guts out to get in, then got ran out with fast falling water and big ducks coming with bricks tied to their feet! All and all good trip, destroyed a 30hp lower unit going in, got truck stuck going to the no water plan B spot, and stuck some Fox muzzles in the mud! Love duck'n, but glad for a 6 month break......awe s#*$ the snow geese are coming.

I load shells with ITX shot too. BB, 2 and 4 shot. Those pellets do stop 'em in midair!!
