And so the fun continues!!

Post by Mike of the Mountain »

Less than 5 days until the litter of Setter pups arrives!! We will have our new pup around Valentine's Day and the fun keeps right on going!! A Royal Sterling pup from Louisiana. Hope to have a tri-color female. Might have some Fox Hollow Setters in the future??

A new pup in the spring will be a lot of fun and should be ready for adventure Côme fall.

That's great mike. Nothing like a new pup. I remember this day with Sophie fondly, which is the night she came home.

We have a name picked out after much deliberation. For now it's a secret. 8)

Va Turkey; That is a super picture of Sophie, read in "I don't know exactly where I am, but I sure am happy here".
Saw that same look several times over at Philmont with different dogs. Ed

I love those Setters !
I have mostly had Labs but years ago Had an Irish setter who was a pretty good Upland dog. Now I have a Fox Red pointing Labrador. But I could see myself some day training & hunting with a Llewellin,or a Gordon. They are Beautiful Dogs. Jerry

Last week our breeder arrived here with the pups. Dixie wound up going to friends of ours due to her failing the BAER test. She can hear, but there is a distinct hearing loss so we are not able to breed her. SO, we do have another tri-color coming from Iowa. She is a chestnut/orange tri and her name is Ransom's Royal Calliope. We will call her Calli. She is 3 months old and we look forward to having her join our pack. :D

Sorry to hear about Dixie, Mike. I like the coloring on Calli with a lot of white, which will be visable while hunting.
