12 GA. Early B Grade ejector 1909-1910

Post by WPGRIFFON »

How common are the early B grade 12 gauge 30" barrels with ejectors?
This gun is 1909 vintage in nice shape.

I have heard that less than 600 late style 12 gauge B grades were produced. Anyone have a guess how many early style B 12s were made?

Craig's article in our Spring 2011 Newsletter on Gough-style 12-gauge B-/BE-Grades lists 606. The transition to the Gough-style engraving takes place in the 20xxx and low 21xxx serial number range. With most of the first 9600 production cards missing we'll never know how many early-style 12-gauge B-/BE-Grades there really are, but from over fifty years of observation the early style seem far more common.

Don't know, Dave. It's been restocked. I never got a card lookup on it since it's not original. But, I may just do so anyway.

Craig's table shows 32 with half-pistol, 9 full-pistol and 9 straight.
