A Grade Engraving

Post by 2lo8s »

I'm aware (I think I'm aware) of the earliest "Sterlingworth like" A Grade engraving.
Was there any difference between the transitional early "Floral" style A grade engraving and the later Floral A grade engraving?
Any pictures?
Thank you.

I believe there are only two kinds of A grade engraving. The early style which was on all gauges and then everything transitioned to the later style and it stayed that way until the end of production. If you go to the homepage and go to the top of the page you will see Fox Gun Grades. Click on that and you can see pictures of the different styles of A grade engraving.

Some of the early Gough-style A-Grades have more "shading" then later ones --
