I am looking for pics, or links to pics, that show what the wood screws look like that were originally used to fasten a Silvers type pad (probably the same type as originally used for most period rubber recoil pads) on Foxes and other American classic guns. I would think that they would have been the type with a flat surface on the underside of the head, as opposed to the countersink, oval head type type. Any sources for these type screws would be appreciated, too.
Thanks, SRH

Re: Original pad screws
Thank you, Craig. That is exactly what I needed to see. It appears the heads do not have a flat base after all. I've got some new, blued ones like that.

Re: Original pad screws
Thank you, Dave. That confirms what Craig showed, that the original screws were not flat headed as I would have expected them to be. Another one of my assumptions blown away.
It also appears that the Silvers pads of the day had much smaller plugs than those "Original London Silvers" that are being sold today, even on 12 gauges.
All my best, SRH

... and a much thicker baseplate and a thinner red rubber section.
But then I digress.
Sorry Stan.
